Fantast

Fantast, the band formed by brothers Daniel and Mario Gschwendtner, announces its debut EP, The Beast Within, with Protomaterial Records. Fantast is an innovative project from Vienna, Austria. With a sonic approach that fuses experimental pop, electronica, hip-hop, and other genres, Fantast is establishing itself as one of the most avant-garde bands in the European music scene. Some of their hit singles, such as "Repeat" and "HIIT," have captured the attention of a diverse and demanding audience, cementing their reputation as creators of unique and exciting musical experiences.


The first single, "Sick & Tired," is now available

The brothers recorded the upcoming EP at Casafont Studio (Catalonia, Spain) in October of 2024, with producer, experimental composer, and founder of Protomaterial, Joan Arnau Pàmies. The EP showcases a dynamic blend of sounds, incorporating both the raw energy of a classic rock setup—guitars, drums, and bass—and the immersive textures of electronic music, with synthesizers and digital audio shaping the sonic landscape. Drawing from a diverse range of influences, Fantast channels the genre-defying spirit of bands like TV on the Radio and the explosive intensity of Rage Against the Machine, while also embracing the industrial edge of Nine Inch Nails and the atmospheric depth of Portishead.
